Superman's Onesie

This is clearly the soft footie
of a onesie (and not a boot)

I am easily amused.

So, when I was reading Action Comics (1938) #2, I was amused by this panel from page ten in which Superman brushes off Lois' question so rudely.

(Clearly their relationship is in its earliest stages.)

And then I noticed Superman's foot wear -- or lack of foot wear in this case.

Superman wears a Onesie!


Apparently, Superman's red boots are a later development of his costume (even though this handy chart (by Dusty Abell) of the evolution of Superman's costume over the years fails to display this early blue onesie version).

So easily amused...
